Ok so the building begins

As with anything something can always go wrong, luckily during this build the problems were only minor, we only had 2 things go wrong unfortunately 1 of them was a major issue, the Chiltech cooler was missing one of the connecting retainers so we had to use our Thermaltake until Ultra can send us out some new retainer mounting clips. The other problem was that the Thermal tape for our AeroCool Multi Function panel was missing, this however was not that big of an issue and we just used some other tape to tape the sensors in.

Other than that everything was a success so I will start showing you some pictures now.

First lets get a look at the inside of the case

Now the front panel

Now the back and side

Lets get a look at where all the main wiring will be routed

First we need to mount the extra internal fans

Next is to prep the case with the lighting and install the power supply and start routing all the wire.

Next is to power test all the lighting and fans to make sure they all work before we put everything together, this makes it easier to work on before all the other parts are installed.

Now lets get the Multifunction panel installed

Wow, this is looking good, let me describe what we have here.

In #1 is the ultra cooler control unit that controls the thermal electric cpu cooler
in #2 is the Aero Cool Multi Function Panel (Once this is powered up I will show you how cool this is)
In #3 here I have customized mt own panel for the extra cold cathode lights and additional fans, the switch on the right is for the fans which is noted by a Blue led on this switch and the right switch is a red led for red cathodes.

OK now lets fit test the motherboard with the lighting, oh no houston we have a problem! We can only fit 1 cathode light in the case cause the motherboard does not allow the second tube to fit in next to it, well not to bad of a problem 2 lights was a little too bright for the inside anyway's, Cptn thinks to himself the second one may make for a good Fun Night prize!

Below is a picture before I lapped the processor, I wanted to get a before and after results when lapping the processor

Ok now lets take a look on the progress, lets get the Video card and the Temporary CPU cooler in place to see how it will all fit together

This picture is with the ram installed, almost complete

More picts to come, now I'm just finishing it up and then to power it on!!

UPDATE

Ok here is the system powered on with the cathode on, I need to figure out how to get the flash to not go off when taking the pict with the cathode as it looks much better with it dark!!

Here is a view of the front MF panel

Ok so now after I got everythig all setup and tested I will start lapping the processor.

What you need to lapp your processor is

600, 800, 1000, 1500 and 2000 Grit sand papper
a very flat surface like a peice of glass
some tape
and a lot of energy

Remember this is what we started with

Here is the surface prep

Here is the results after doing about 30 reps on all sand papers

Now here it is installed in the system

So what are the final results??? Well look for yourself

And here is the final FINISHED System
